Pipes & Piping
Soudoplast, specialist in plastic welding for the construction industry, particularly for pipes and ducts. The construction of any building or industrial site requires the routing of energy or the discharge of residues such as water, gas, liquid chemicals, air or other powders. Our strength lies in tailor-made design of plastic piping and ducting systems, incorporating adapted and versatile plastic solutions.
We can handle all your plastic piping projects:
- Mirror welding of large diameters up to 800 mm
- Electrofusion, socket or extrusion welding of electrofusion sleeves for special fittings and connections
- Custom-made manholes and collectors
- EN 13067-certified personnel for welding small and large diameters
- ALUGAZ-certified personnel to lay gas pipes in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
- . . . "Your projects, our solutions! "
Our custom-made plastic piping products
Adapting gas scrubber piping
In collaboration with NaturGas Kielen (NGK), Soudoplast was called in to carry out pipework adaptations on a gas scrubber to retain harmful components in the environment (odors, irritant effects, pollution, etc.).
Creation of an underground ventilation network
Another example of integrated plastic systems for air purification and ventilation. Soudoplast was involved in the design of the ventilation system for the Lycée des professions de santé, in Strassen, Luxembourg. 1500mm diameter pipes were designed and buried to provide ventilation for the new building.
Development of synthetic piping on a production line
Soudoplast was asked to produce a custom-made part in synthetic piping (large diameter), essential for the operation of the new production line of Circuit Foil, in collaboration with Socom, in Luxembourg. In the photo, these are the light blue elements.
FAQ
What are plastic pipes and piping systems, and in which sectors are they used?
Plastic piping and ducting refer to systems designed to convey energy or discharge waste materials, such as water, gas, chemical liquids, air or powders, within industrial or residential buildings. At Soudoplast, we create bespoke, versatile and tailored installations that integrate seamlessly into existing environments. For example, they are used for underground ventilation in a secondary school or to adapt a gas scrubber to capture pollutants. These solutions ensure smooth and safe flow, whilst meeting the site’s specific requirements. Contact us to design yours!
Which materials do you prefer for HDPE pipes and synthetic piping?
For HDPE pipes and synthetic piping, Soudoplast selects robust plastic materials, such as large-diameter pipes up to 1500 mm, which can withstand high pressures and chemical attack. These thermoplastics offer unrivalled flexibility for bespoke fittings, whilst ensuring a long-lasting seal. Inspired by industry best practice, they often outlast PVC, with an estimated lifespan of 50 years or more. This ensures your installations remain reliable when handling a variety of fluids, whether for drinking water or industrial effluent. Request a quote tailored to your project!
What landmark projects demonstrate your expertise in plastic piping?
Soudoplast excels in projects such as the customisation of piping for a gas scrubber, in partnership with NaturGas Kielen, to effectively trap odours and harmful pollutants. We have also designed an underground ventilation system for the Luxembourg National School of Health, featuring 1.5-metre-long buried pipes to ensure optimal air purification. Finally, our bespoke synthetic components, such as those for the Circuit Foil production line in collaboration with Socom, demonstrate industrial precision. These projects highlight our ability to combine innovation with seamless integration.
What are the main advantages of thermoplastic welding for HDPE pipes?
Thermoplastic welding for HDPE piping provides a flawless seal and enhanced resistance to leaks, whilst enabling quick joints without vulnerable seams, as is the case with electrofusion sleeves. At Soudoplast, this versatile technique reduces installation times and minimises disruption on site, for systems suitable for transporting gas or chemical liquids. What’s more, it extends the lifespan of infrastructure to up to a century under standard conditions, making your investments more cost-effective. This means you benefit from a sustainable solution that complies with European standards. Ready to optimise your network? Contact our team!
How can you maintain a plastic pipework system to ensure it lasts as long as possible?
To maintain a plastic pipework system, it is essential to carry out regular visual inspections of welds and joints, checking for cracks or deformation caused by temperature fluctuations. At Soudoplast, we recommend annual pressure tests for HDPE pipes, as well as cleaning tailored to the fluids being transported, such as water or chemical effluents. These simple practices, based on industrial protocols, prevent premature wear and maintain optimal performance for decades. Should any anomaly arise, we respond promptly.
